Dear OCA Students,

Registration for the forthcoming and optional September TEL Technology Workshops is now open, and students are welcome to register their attendance using the Technology Workshop Registration activity.

Please note that students are initially limited to attending one workshop per month, however, this is subject to change depending on availability, and students who attend the earlier workshop maybe later invited to also attend the second workshop.

During the registration process, students are invited to provide any specific subject(s), process(es) or question(s) they’d like to discuss throughout the workshop, and will be used to form the workshop agenda. The agenda for each workshop will later be published approximately a week prior to the session and using the Technology Workshop Forum; only available to registered students.

To unsubscribe and opt out of all future email notifications, please access the Technology Workshop Forum activity and select the cog icon, located in the upper right corner, followed by 'Unsubscribe from this Forum'. Alternatively, select the 'Unsubscribe' option, located at the bottom of the email notification. Students can later resubscribe following this same process if preferred.

    Dear Thomas,

    Thank you for your response.

    The topics covered in each workshop will vary, however, each workshop begins with a demonstration segment. Previously, I've used this as an opportunity to demonstrate using OCA Spaces, Panopto and signing into all OCA facilities, and is loosely based on student requests when registering and the emails we receive via the techsupport@oca.ac.uk email address. Following the demonstration segment, we then move into a Q&A segment involving students in attendance, and includes any technical support questions regarding all OCA facilities, such as OCA Learn, OCA Spaces, Panopto etc.

    Should you find it helpful, the introduction available on the Technology Workshops section provides additional information. Additionally, previous workshop recordings are available via the Tech Workshop Archive activity, although please note that the August 15th workshop didn't feature the demonstration segment.

    As the overwhelming majority of students receive email notifications for this forum, please post any additional questions in the TEL Team Q&A Forum.

    Hello Stephen,

    I'm sure it's  my fault but I want to register but I can't find anywhere a date and time for the workshops except that these will be different month by month.  Can you tell me when the September workshops are?

    Thank you for your response.

    You can register to attend either workshop using the Technology Workshop Registration activity, available via the Technology Workshops section. Upon accessing the activity, you'll find the date and time for both workshops, Monday 12th September 11:00 BST and Wednesday 28th September 14:00 BST, where you can then register to attend by selecting the 'Book Slot' option. Following this, you'll then be prompted to leave a message, where you can include any questions, subjects or topics you'd like to ask or discuss.

    If preferred, please contact me via email, stephenhighfield@oca.ac.uk, including your preferred choice and any questions or topics you'd like to discuss, and I'll be happy to register on your behalf.

    Dear OCA Students,

    The first of two scheduled TEL Technology Workshops for the month of September is now complete, and the recording can be accessed indefinitely via the Tech Workshop Recording Archive activity.

    Should they be of interest, students can still register to attend the one remaining workshop in September, scheduled for Wednesday 28th September at 14:00 BST, using the Technology Workshop Registration activity.

    The schedule for the October workshops will also be announced towards the end of this month.
