Hi, just wondering if anyone has any idea what to do. I've tried logging into my OCA gmail and it says my settings don't meet the verification policy and to contact an admin. Not sure where to look!

I've attached a screenshot of what it says.

  1. Two-Factor Authentication

You'll need to contact ithelpdesk@oca.ac.uk I believe. An email went around about this in February:

    ACTION REQUIRED: Two-Factor Authentication - Enforced February 29th 2024

    Dear OCA Students,

Inline with modern security protocols and per the TEL Newsletter: Issue 2, sent on November 16th 2023 and which was later postponed, IT Services will be enforcing the use of Two-Factor Authentication (or “2FA”), effective February 29th 2024.

Students will therefore need to access their Google Account Security Settings and enable a minimum of two 2-Factor Authentication methods prior to February 29th. If necessary, guidance regarding this process is available via the Tech Support, Guidance & Workshops course and the Two -Factor Authentication sub-chapter.

Two-Factor Authentication is an additional layer of security applicable when signing into your account and at regular intervals thereafter, and helps ensure your account and personal information remains private and secure, by aiming to prevent unauthorised access to your account. For more information regarding the benefits of Two-Factor Authentication, please refer to the following Google Support page.

Participation is required, barring any mitigating circumstance, with various authentication methods available, including for those with and without a smartphone. Students who don't possess a phone entirely and/or have any further question(s) should contact IT Services.

Anyone who doesn’t access and enable a minimum of two authentication methods prior to February 29th, or discuss the matter with IT Services beforehand, will be locked out of their account, effective February 29th, and will subsequently need to contact the IT Services to regain access to their account thereafter.

    Kind regards,
    IT Services
