Assessment Requirements
For assessment you will be required to submit a portfolio of work which contains:
A Critical Listening Summary and a selection of Learning Log entries documenting and reflecting on project work in relation to learning outcomes
A Body of Work
A Critical Review (1250 written words or 10 minute presentation)
Reflective Presentation/Evaluation (750 written words or 6 minute presentation)

As a reminder, the Learning Outcomes for this unit are:
Employ the use of advanced technical skills appropriate to your pathway and communicate your ideas in professionally-appropriate formats. (A1)
Construct practical work creatively and adventurously with an articulate, emerging musical voice (A2)
Analyse and interpret larger-scale compositional structures and apply your knowledge to practical and academic outputs. (A3)
Demonstrate enhanced research and critical thinking skills through a range of outputs. (A4)
Your work will be assessed using the OCA’s assessment criteria, which are each mapped against some, or all, of the unit Learning Outcomes.
Knowledge
Demonstrating a deepening awareness of practical and contextual knowledge, and a recognition of subject knowledge and boundaries.
Subject knowledge: Identify, define, and describe appropriate principles, concepts and subject knowledge.
Practical knowledge: Demonstrate the use of technologies, methods, practices and processes related to the subject.
Contextual knowledge: Identify, define, and describe contemporary and historical practices, theories, and debates.
Subject boundaries: Acknowledge emerging practices and wider contexts that shape subject knowledge and boundaries.

Critical thinking: Apply critical thinking to develop an informed personal position.
